I thought there would never be anyone who could insult and offend the American people like Barack Obama has. But just when you think you’ve heard and seen it all, evidently, I was wrong. Hillary Clinton stooped to a new low this past week in her quest for the White House.
It was not a good week for Hillary. First, she rambled on and on through 30 minutes of questioning by Matt Lauer and veterans at the Commander in Chief forum. Matt Lauer didn’t let her off the hook, and some questions from the military people were quite damaging, so she lied her way out of them.
Responding to a question about Libya, she said, “With respect to Libya, again. . . I put together a coalition that included NATO, included the Arab league, and we were able to save lives. We did not lose a single American in that action.”
Someone needs to remind Hillary that Benghazi is in Libya! She must have forgotten the four Americans who died in Benghazi, Libya,on September 11, 2012, during a terrorist attack on a U.S. consulate compound. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, and Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty all died in the attack because President Obama and Secretary Clinton did nothing to provide greater security for the compound, though it was requested over 200 times. They also did nothing to send in troops to defend or rescue them.
Secondly, Hillary attended an LBGT fundraising event in NYC on Friday evening hosted by Barbara Walters. At the event, it wasn’t enough for her to berate and belittle her opponent Donald Trump. She felt it necessary to take a giant step further to insult and belittle Trump supporters. At least half of them, anyway. Hmmm…..I wonder which half I’d fit in?
Hillary is like a hunter who shoots herself in the foot trying to kill a spider. She gets angry, throws fits, and just can’t help herself when the opportunity arises to put other people down. She has shown her true colors, and they are not red, white and blue. They are red, yellow, and green.
The red is for her belief in socialism – she wants America to have the federal government in control of everything, just like the governments of Red China, Korea, the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela, and other communist states. We all know how well that works out for citizens.
The yellow is for her cowardice – she can’t face the press to answer questions because she’s too afraid of what they might ask about her many scandals. She can’t let go of her dream to be the first female President, because her whole identity is wrapped up in the image she has of ruling the world and is afraid of dying without being in the White House again.
And she’s green with envy – she apparently thought she had this election in the bag when she put on a show at the DNC and got a bump in the polls. Now that Trump is gaining ground and even ahead or at least even with her in several critical states (Ohio, Florida, etc), Hillary finds herself envious. The American people like Trump and don’t like her! We have a new favorite, and she’s losing the favor of people each day. While Trump draws crowds that can’t be contained in large venues, Hillary finds it difficult to fill up the places where she speaks.
So what has she done to combat the losing battle? She launched a tirade of insulting remarks and labels against the very people she says she wants to win over – American voters! She unleashed a string of adjectives that lumps at least “half of Trump supporters” together and puts them in “a basket of deplorables.” According to Hillary, we are “racists, sexists, homophobic, xenophobic, you name it!”
Not only are we in such a condition, we are also “unredeemable” and beyond hope if we plan to support and vote for Donald Trump instead of her. After all, as she keeps telling us, we MUST vote for her because she is a woman. I’m sorry to be associated with her, even if it’s just because we are both women. I want nothing to do with this evil woman who cannot bring herself to tell the truth, and she wouldn’t recognize it if she heard it.
Here’s the latest quote Hillary made in NYC Friday night:
“You know to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” she said as the crowd laughed and applauded. “…the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic (fear of foreigners), Islamophobic, you name it.
“And unfortunately, there are people like that and he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric.”
She said that it was unfortunate that Trump had given these horrible people a voice, citing “offensive mean-spirited rhetoric” on websites and Twitter. “Some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America,” she said.
On August 31, Hillary tweeted, “The last thing we need is a President who brings more name-calling and temper tantrums to Washington.” Irony, thy name is Hillary!
The remarks drew a comparison to President Barack Obama’s comments about working-class Americans in 2008 after visiting Pennsylvania. He said, “And it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Well, that went over like a lead balloon, just like Hillary’s words, which showed antipathy with normal people who have to work for a living.
Ironically, after her poor performance on Tuesday night with Matt Lauer and a ship deck full of veterans and active military, Hillary hired an image consultant to help her improve her perception in the eyes of Americans. The reason for hiring such a person was because her staff of advisors felt she comes across as too harsh, angry and arrogant.
Unfortunately, instead of taking the advice about softening her tone, Hillary came out with a verbal machine gun trying to neutralize her opposition. In so doing, she only made herself look hateful and bitter. I guess that’s what happens when you think you deserve something (the job of President) but most people don’t agree with you. So you attack and try to make your opponents look small, ignorant, hateful, and disgusting.
Well, it didn’t work. It backfired and made HER look bitter, hateful and disgusting. On Saturday, upon hearing the media reports of the tirade, Hillary decided to “apologize,” but you could hardly call it an apology. She started by using the word “regret” saying that she shouldn’t have said, “half.” Then she tried to explain her position and actually defended what she said rather than accepting the blame. “I won’t stop calling out bigotry and racist rhetoric in this campaign,” Clinton added.
I guess it’s just hard for Hillary to imagine she could ever say anything that wasn’t absolutely true. She recently said in an interview where she was asked if she’d ever lied, and said, “I don’t believe I ever have!” She can believe us to be deplorable and despicable, but can’t accept that she could possibly be or say something untrue.
Trump responded to her tirade by saying. “For the first time in a long while, her true feelings came out, showing bigotry and hatred for millions of Americans. Isn’t it disgraceful that Hillary Clinton makes the worst mistake of the political season, and instead of owning up to this grotesque attack on American voters, she tries to turn it around with a pathetic rehash of the words and insults used in her failing campaign?”
Trump also tweeted: “While Hillary said horrible things about my supporters, and while many of her supporters will never vote for me, I still respect them all!”
A stinging but respectful rebuke also came from Governor Mike Pence, Trump’s VP running mate, who is nothing if not a gentleman. Pence said, “The truth of the matter is that the men and women who support Donald Trump’s campaign are hard-working Americans—farmers, coal miners, teachers, veterans, members of our law enforcement community, members of every class of this country—who know that we can make America great again.”
“Let me just say, from the bottom of my heart, Hillary: They are not a basket of anything,” Pence continued. “They are Americans and they deserve your respect.”
